Ulf Hoppmann

​

Ulf Hoppmann is founder and Managing Director at Xelium. He brings over 20 years experience of international leadership roles in the Life Science industry and consulting.

​

Prior to joining Xelium, Ulf was Director Corporate Finance Life Science at Ernst and Young, London where he worked with international clients on acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, licensing, and business development opportunities in the Life Science sector.

​

Previously, Ulf spent many years in the industry. He was responsible for Corporate Strategy and M&A at Shenzhen listed Lianhetech, Shanghai where he led the internationalization of the company in Southeast Asia and the acquisition of Fine Organics in the UK.

 

Previously, Ulf was Vice President Global Business Development at Heraeus where he developed the business unit strategies. He executed several strategic transactions and commercial collaborations across the respective business areas in pharma contract manufacturing, catalysis, precious metals, and fuel cells.

Prior to that Ulf led acquisitions, equity investments, licensing deals and divestments in Biotech, Animal Health and Consumer Healthcare at Boehringer Ingelheim - total deal volume above USD 2bn.

Ulf is an advisory board member at Ofichem and co-founder of Green Energy Materials.

Ulf holds a degree in Technical Chemistry and Business from the Technical University Berlin and a Master of International Business from the Macquarie University, Sydney.

Dr. Andreas Winterfeldt

​

Dr. Andreas Winterfeldt serves as an adviser in Xelium.

He is an accomplished top-executive in the Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industry with a highly diversified, international and multicultural background and more than 36 years of experience in executive/general management, strategy development, transformational change management, global business & operations network management including S&M, engineering, production, quality, process development and R&D.

 

During his distinguished industrial career, he has served as CEO of Lianhetech and PHT International and has held various senior executive positions reporting to the Board of Boehringer Ingelheim, J. M. Huber and Riedel de Haen AG (later acquired by Honeywell respectively Allied Signal).

 

Andreas holds a diploma in chemistry and doctorate from the University of Bielefeld in Germany and is recipient of the prestigious Zhejiang West Lake Friendship Award and the Honorary Citizenship of Taizhou in China.

 

He has been living and working in Germany, Denmark, Belgium, USA and China and is currently residing in Charlotte/NC in the USA.
